Kanye West has been left furious after his album cover for long-awaited 'My Dark Twisted Fantasy' was banned in the U.S.
The rapper has tweeted his anger and said that it's unfair that his artwork for the new album should be banned when it's art when Nirvana's naked baby on the 'Nevermind' cover was allowed.
Yeezy tweeted: "Yoooo they banned my album cover!!!!! Banned in the USA!!! They don't want me chilling on the couch with my Phoenix!"
The pheonix that the 'Power' rapper is referring to is the main character of his short film 'Runaway'.
Yeezy also tweeted: "In the '70s album covers had actual nudity... It's so funny that people forget that... Everything has been so commercialised now."
Adding: "So Nirvana can have a naked human being on their cover but I can't have a PAINTING of a monster with no arms and a polka dot tail and wings."
It is thought that Yeezy won't be allowed to stock his album in chain stores such as Wal-Mart and has been advised to chose an alternative. A source has told the LATimes.com that "if he wanted to do it, the label would stand behind him".
