Lauryn Hill played for a crowd of more than 40,000 at the Dos Oceanos 2010 in Lisbon, Portugal, on Saturday (July 31). The free concert, which also featured a set from Estelle, was to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Portuguese Republic.

After a medley of Fugees classics including “Ready or Not” and “Fu-Gee-La,” the braided-hair songstress delivered her own hits “Doo Wop (That Thing),” “Turn Your Lights Down Low,” and closed with “Killing Me Softly.”

Ms. Hill will return to the U.S. for the Rock the Bells Festival, which kicks off in Los Angeles on August 21. A previously unheard track called “Repercussions” leaked last month, causing some to wonder if the Grammy winner is about to stage a comeback.
